Welcome to TagMan, our smart abbreviation for Tag Management. As the first to build such a system, we not only invented the category but also took the liberty of naming it. More importantly, since our launch back in 2007, over 100 ecommerce sites have deployed our tag management system, making TagMan the global leader by a large margin. Better yet, all these engagements have given us a chance to improve and evolve our system along the way. In fact, we just launched TagMan v3, which has the three complementary components explained below.

 

Core Tag Management

 

Tag Management makes it easy to add, edit or remove any online marketing tag instantly, direct from the web page and without changing the code on the site. If you know anything about tags then you know that until our system came along, the tagging process was challenging on a good day, making it harder to optimize the effectiveness of online marketing. With TagMan’s core system, tagging responsibility can move out of the IT department, saving them time and money and into the marketing department who can suddenly optimize the effectiveness of their online programs.

 

Real Time Attribution

 

Once all your tags are in the TagMan container, not only can you manage them easier, but also you can understand the actual performance of your online marketing activities from search to display, email to affiliates, social media to SEO—in real time. Rather than relying on last-click attribution, you can track each customer’s path to conversion and gain a far greater understanding of which of your online marketing components played a roll in the sale. With this knowledge, you can award credit and commission across all online channels based on every channel’s real contribution and according to flexible attribution models.

 

Smart Tag Loading

 

One of the lesser-known downsides of tagging is that too many tags can dramatically slow down the time it takes for your site to load. Independent research suggests that every second delay in load time costs 7% loss in conversion. To fix this problem, TagMan v3 works like a site accelerator, loading tags faster and more efficiently. We call this smart tag loading. In reality, the smart part is that our customers enjoy lower abandonment rates and higher sales per visit.
